Suicide Doesn’t Discriminate
There’s the misconception that suicide only affects a certain group of people. But from successful CEOs, to sports stars, to the person sitting next to you at work, suicide can affect anyone. As the leading organision in suicide prevention, Lifeline wanted to make an impact on World Suicide Prevention Day. To drive conversation, we set out to destigmatise suicide by showing Australians that suicidality can affect anyone.
Stories that
save lives.
We paired up help seekers from different backgrounds (who had never met before) and asked them to interview each other to unpack their suicide-related experiences. Through conversation, the pairs found they shared more in common than they thought. It was a deeply moving film series that destigmatised who can be affected by suicide.
